“As Canadians, we cannot stand idly by while the Palestinian people are, once again, subjected by Israel to deadly bombardment and devastating destruction in Gaza as well as attacks and harassment by Israeli settler mobs in East Jerusalem and other places, with the complicity of the Israeli government and its army,” said Zain Esseghaier, spokesperson for the Muslim Society of Prince Edward Island, “we call on the Trudeau government and on politicians of all stripes to unequivocally and forcefully denounce Israel’s actions and to back their condemnation with concrete measures.”
Masks and social distancing are mandatory during the rally. Given the COVID-19 pandemic, people wishing to participate in the rally are required to pre-register on Eventbrite.
