The Muslim Society of Prince Edward Island has organized two “Solidarity with Palestine” vigils:
The first vigil was held on October 14th, 2023 with attendance from several speakers from the Muslim Society and other groups expressing concerns on the humanitarian state in Palestine and Gaza in particular.
Then on Saturday, November 4th, 2023, hundreds of Islanders from different groups attended another vigil demonstrating our support and solidarity. The event featured several speakers addressing the ongoing events in Palestine.
Given the distressing and escalating humanitarian crisis in Palestine and Israel, we strongly condemn the indiscriminate attacks on innocent civilians. We reaffirm our unwavering commitment to peace, international law, the preservation of life, and the right to self-determination for all peoples.
