At MCAPEI, we believe that sisterhood is an essential part of building a strong, caring, and connected Muslim community.
Our Sisters’ Corner is a welcoming space dedicated to Muslim women and girls of all ages and backgrounds across Prince Edward Island. Whether you are new to PEI, new to Islam, or have been part of our community for years, you are always welcome here.
Our mission is to bring sisters together through Islamic education, meaningful friendships, community activities, and mutual support in an environment rooted in faith, kindness, and respect.
Islamic Learning & Spiritual Growth
We encourage sisters to strengthen their relationship with Allah (SWT) through opportunities for Islamic learning and spiritual development.
Our educational activities include weekly sisters’ Halaqas, Qur’an recitation, Tajweed, Tafseer, Islamic discussions, and opportunities to reflect on the teachings of Islam and apply them in everyday life.
We aim to create a welcoming learning environment where sisters can ask questions, share knowledge, and grow together in faith.
Sisterhood & Community Activities
Building meaningful connections is at the heart of our sisters’ community.
Through social gatherings, educational workshops, community events, and special activities, we hope to provide opportunities for sisters to meet, develop friendships, share experiences, and support one another.
We also encourage sisters to become actively involved in community initiatives and volunteer opportunities.
Welcoming Newcomers & New Muslim Sisters
Moving to a new place or beginning a journey with Islam can bring many questions and challenges. At MCAPEI, we want every sister to feel welcomed, respected, and supported.
We aim to connect newcomers and new Muslim sisters with friendly community members who can offer guidance, friendship, and helpful information.
For sisters interested in learning more about Islam or embracing the faith, we aim to provide access to Islamic educational resources, free books in different languages, and connections with knowledgeable community members and scholars who can help answer questions.
No matter where you are on your journey, you are welcome to learn, ask questions, and connect with our community.
Support, Guidance & Well-Being
We believe that a strong community is one where sisters care for and support one another.
Our goal is to foster a compassionate and respectful environment where sisters feel comfortable seeking guidance, sharing concerns, and connecting with others who can offer encouragement and practical support.
When specialized assistance is needed, we aim to help sisters find appropriate community resources and trusted sources of guidance.
Family, Mothers & Young Sisters
We recognize the important roles women play in strengthening families and nurturing future generations.
MCAPEI aims to support mothers, young women, and girls through family-friendly activities, educational opportunities, youth engagement, and community programs that encourage Islamic values, confidence, and a sense of belonging.
