A Special General Assembly of the Muslim Society of Prince Edward Island was convened on
February 16, 2025, at 1:15 PM at Masjid Dar As-Salam. The purpose of the meeting was to adopt the
new Constitution and By-laws
The meeting was attended by over 40 members of the Muslim community, reflecting the society’s
commitment to diversity, inclusion, and unity. The session commenced at 1:15 PM with a message
from the President of the Muslim Society, who expressed gratitude to all attendees for their
dedication to the community. Special appreciation was extended to the Constitution Committee for
their hard work in drafting a framework aimed at advancing and strengthening the Society.
At 2:15 PM, the voting process commenced, as previously announced by the President. Voting was
open exclusively to registered members of the Muslim Society who have paid their 2025
membership fees. The voting results were as follows:

Based on the results, the new Constitution and By-laws were officially approved and will take effect
as of February 16, 2025.
